The Habitat ReStore in Bakersfield, CA sells new and used building materials to the public at discount prices. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds support Habitat for Humanity-Golden Empire.

 

Shopping or donating usable building materials to the ReStore contributes to the construction of new Habitat homes and special project repairs through our Home Preservation program. Instead of filling up our landfill, your donations are a valuable source of funds that create affordable housing and help families in need.

How to Help

DONATIONS

ITEMS WE ACCEPT

  • Appliances– refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers and more.

  • Kitchen & Bath– cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, sinks, tubs and more.

  • Doors & Windows– double pane, shutters, garage doors  and more.

  • Flooring– unstained carpet, laminate, hardwood, tile, vinyl and more.

  • Walls– drywall sheets, plywood, unused insulation, unmixed cement board and more.

  • Electrical– circuit breakers, conduit, lighting fixtures and more.

  • Building Materials– lumber, new roof shingles, power tools, fascia and more.

  • Furniture & Home Decor– bedroom sets, patio groups and more.

  • Textile & Shoes– all gently used clothing, linens, shoes, belts, ties, purses and more.
