Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire does not build houses FOR families; we facilitate a partnership among families who:

 

1. Demonstrate need

2. Have the ability to pay the mortgage

3. Are willing to partner in the construction of their home

​

This partnership also engages community supporters who join the families in the home building process and provide both financial and in-kind support for building supplies and materials. Homeowners invest their own labor, or “sweat equity,” into building their Habitat house and they pay back a no-profit, low-interest mortgage.

Applicants must have meet certain HUD household income requirements, have a minimum credit score, and must donate 500 hours of sweat equity just to name a few of the qualifications. If you are interested in Habitat homeownership apply below.
